Superstar Rajinikanth has been in the film industry for more than 40 years now and has managed to be on top of his game till now. In an exclusive interview with India Today Group Editorial Director Raj Chengappa and Deputy Editor Amarnath K Menon, the actor was asked about the contributions of his wife Latha Rajinikanth in this tremendous success.
Rajinikanth, who tries to avoid conversations about his family and personal affairs, said that Latha has stood by him as a friend all these days.
He said, “She looks after the children and everything about the house. She has taken care of that burden. She is helping me as a friend and sometimes as a philosopher also.”
About his daughters – director Aishwarya Dhanush and director-producer Soundarya – Rajinikanth said, “They are happy. They are doing what they want to do and they are enjoying it.”
Rajinikanth’s latest film 2.0 has set the box office on fire. Touted to be India’s costliest film, 2.0 is also the first film to be shot entirely on 3D cameras.
The Tamil star has also wrapped up the shooting of his next film Petta, which has been directed by Karthik Subbaraj.
